CENTRAL DISTRICT— Judkins St. Cafe has launched a series of Sunday afternoon barbecues. The second one is this Sunday from 4 to 8 pm featuring barbecue master, Stefan Giles. You can check out the full menu online, which includes meat by the pound, sandwiches, plates and sides. There's also a selection of beer and wine. New to the menu is the pulled pork pretzel slider. You heard right. [EaterWire]
CAPITOL HILL— Skillet Diner's new patio is about ready to make its debut. According to the Skillet newsletter, "It's set to open May 6. Yep, now on those sunny Seattle days, you can eat your poutine and drink your cocktails al fresco." The diner was shut down for a few days in early April to accommodate construction. [EaterWire]
MADRONA— After a long, wet winter, the Madrona Molly Moon's is back open daily from noon to 10 pm. The seasonal pop-up ice cream shop near the Hi-Spot Cafe is pretty tiny, but still serves up scoops, cones, ice cream sandwiches, sundaes and shakes, as well as every one of their flavors packaged up in pints and ready to take home.
