It's been awhile since Toulouse Petit chef Eric Donnelly announced his plans for a new seafood restaurant next door to Uneeda Burger in the old Dovetail Construction space in Fremont, so now the obligatory question: when is RockCreek going to open?
Donnelly says the completion date for the project is July 5, which means realistically, the place will likely open mid-July, but Donnelly is hopeful it will be ready for the public no later than July 9.
The entire place will seat about 80 people, that's including the more loungy area upstairs that includes a small party bar that folks can rent out for private functions — just like the private dining area that's also up there that will eventually be marked with a giant sliding barn door to really give the place that "rugged fishing trip" feel.
The 2,800 square-feet of usable space includes a nice patio out front, which will be perfect for some outdoor wine sipping and oyster barbecuing — something Donnelly is planning for when the railing is installed and up to code in the next couple of weeks.
