I'm never good at writing endings, and this one's especially tough: My position at the Seattle Weekly's been eliminated. Thanks for reading.

As of today, Hanna Raskin is no longer the food critic at Seattle Weekly. The paper has decided to do away with reviews all together, leaving Raskin to chose between a lesser-paying, less-exciting gig with SW or finding another job entirely. She chose door number two.
Here's her response on Voracious, posted just minutes ago.
Eater National has more details on this story that includes an email Raskin sent to a handful of Seattle food media (including Eater Seattle) to share the details before making them public. Ironically, Raskin's story falls on the heels of Houston Press critic Katharine Shilcutt's announcement that she, too, is leaving. Will Raskin make a return to Texas where she spent time as critic for the Dallas Observer pre-Seattle?
