Capitol Hill Seattle reports that business buddies David Meinert and Jason Lajeunesse are working to take over the longtime home of The Canterbury, which is slated to close at the end of this year. Capitol Hill Housing says they're currently hammering out a lease with the duo, who most recently opened Lost Lake Cafe. While the guys are known as being "nightlife kings" (The 5 Point, Neumo's/Mo Bar, Big Mario's, Barboza), CHS says the pair plan to, not just keep the Canterbury name, but expand the family seating area. If a lease agreement is reached this summer, renovations would begin in early 2014. [CHS]
