Le Zinc is getting ready for its public close-up on Monday, when it opens its doors for dinner for the first time (that's the target opening date, anyway).
The guys behind Maximilien, Wilfried Boutillier and Axel Macé, have created what they believe is the quintessential French neighborhood gastro-pub on the corner of 15th and Pine (across from Anchovies & Olives). And they have assembled quite a team to help them pull it off: Andy McClellan at the bar (formerly of Golden Beetle), Parris Broderick at the front of the house (formerly of Il Bistro, Canlis) and chef Jaron Witsoe in the kitchen (Maximilien).
As reported last month, Le Zinc will occupy the ground floor of the newly constructed VOX building and will dedicate nearly half of its 2400 square feet to the bar area. And everything on their menu is less than 20-bucks, except for the $22 steak.
Now, take a gander at the space.
