A busy food truck news day for Hilliard's.

Nosh makes its debut at the brewery today. And now comes word that on Sunday, Renee Erickson's Narwhal oyster truck will be making its almost-debut at the Ballard taproom from 2 to 7 pm. "We will be serving the same menu that we debuted at the farmers market," says camp Narwhal, adding that even though they did actually make it to the Queen Anne Farmers Market last Thursday for the truck's first public appearance, they did so "by the skin of our teeth as we were dealing with mechanical issues." Sunday's menu will include smoked trout salad with lentils and creme fraiche, fried oysters with espelette aioli, herring rillette with pickled shallots, and a cucumber gazpacho with dungeness crab. "We are really excited to finally be at Hilliard's as this has been a partnership we have anticipated for quite some time."

Narwhal returns to the QAFM on Thursday, July 18. The best way to get updates on the truck's schedule is by checking in on, what else, Facebook.
