The Narwhal Truck Has Arrived, Oysters Soon to Follow

An update now on the Narwhal — Renee Erickson's answer to mobile oysters. It was initially thought that the truck would launch when the Queen Anne Farmers Market did on June 6. But word from Erickson's camp says they just picked up the truck on Monday:

We are so excited after so much waiting to finally have it. We hope to launch sometime this month. We will initially be at Hilliard's Taproom in Ballard on Sundays and at the Queen Anne Farmers Market on an every-other-week schedule. Also, when our friends at Vif Wine and Coffee open in Fremont this summer, we will be there on a regular basis for oysters and Muscadet. Beyond that, we will be available to hire for private events.

Meanwhile, Erickson is busy with the details of her new wine bar, Barnacle, which is expected to open late this summer.
