Will Rautureau's New Restaurant Be Loulay?

New, 1 comment

Thierry Rautureau, Seattle's beloved Chef in the Hat, has served his last escargot at Rover's, in Madison Valley, but is not ready to make an official announcement about his next move, even though many of his fans think they already know.

Pictures on Facebook over the weekend showed the Chef and his wife celebrating their last dinner and pulling down the Rover's sign on the side of the house. If one were to believe the writing on the (Facebook) wall, the Chef's new place, long rumored, will be called Loulay (the name of the village in southwestern France where Thierry was born) and will be downtown at Sixth and Union.

Rautureau tells Eater: "I'm not saying anything. I don't have the whole photo in my head yet."
