La Bodega Finds a Home in Pioneer Square

What started out as a major Dominican sandwich tease is now (finally) a reality. Chef Manuel "Manu" Alfau has just singed a lease for a storefront at 100 Prefontaine Pl. S. to house his current pop-up, La Bodega.

By way of press release:

La Bodega is expected to open fall 2013. The Dominican food store will be open from 11am to 7pm, offering sandwiches, pasteles, empanadas, and other traditional recipes inspired by chef Alfau's childhood meals in the Dominican Republic. Most of La Bodega's menu will be available as takeout to serve the local business community.

In the meantime, Alfau is cooking Dominican barbecue on Sundays at Montana bar throughout the summer from 4 to 10 pm. Stay up to date on La Bodega goings on through Facebook.
