Here's a novel idea. The duo behind Brimmer & Heeltap (opening in the old Le Gourmand space later this year) is hosting a "Before & After" party to raise money for their new place. $150 buys you entrance into two parties: The first one is this Saturday from 6 to 8 pm. Partners Jen Doak and former Revel chef Mike Whisenhunt are welcoming the public to check out the original space "to preview new design innovations — no hard hats required, just your enthusiasm. 'Happy hour' menu concoctions will be showcased. Lip smacking snacks aplenty and inspired libations to wash 'em down."
The second party happens after the last nail is hammered and the paint is dry. "We'll be serving up a post-remodel, pre-public dinner where Chef Whisenhunt's machinations will be in full effect. Your palate will be praising whatever social graces landed you a seat. The definitive date is tbd, as they say, but we promise you'll be the first to know."
