U-DISTRICT— Molly Moon's ice cream and Joey Kitchen will be joining Liam's and Din Tai Fung at U-Village this fall — all part of an in-the-works expansion located on the south side of the property along NE 45th St., which includes more than 700 new parking stalls. It's worth noting that Joey Kitchen will serve as the national flagship property for JOEY Restaurants. [EaterWire]
INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT— Seattle's Night Market returns to Chinatown's Union Station on Saturday, September 7 from 6 pm to midnight, transforming it into a thriving Asian market with more than twenty of the region's most popular food trucks. The team behind Mobile Food Rodeo and Fremont Market will be lending their talents to wrangle a fleet of trucks, including: Nosh, Crisp Creperie, Falafel Salam, How a Pickle Got Out of a Jam, Contigo, Plum, Fish Basket, Street Doughnuts, Where Ya At Matt, Ben and Jerry's and Tokyo Dog. Plus, each participating food truck will be cooking up at least one $5 Asian-inspired menu item. A Japanese beer garden will open at 4 pm on S. King Street below the Chinese gate. [EaterWire]
