A Bar Named Sue Opens in Former Lucky 8s This Sunday

A bar that describes itself as "down-home Southern Americana" is opening on Capitol Hill Sunday. CHS reports that partners Chris King, Bracey Rogers of the now shuttered Lucky 8s China House and Skylar Keith of Brass Tacks will open Bar Sue in the old Lucky space on 14th and Union (next to Restaurant Zoe). An announcement hails the place as "a watering hole featuring sweet tea bourbon, Dixie beer, Carolina style BBQ and Louisiana style blackened catfish." Gritty, rustic, and old school charm are also in the mix. Not much else is known at this point, including hours. More info as it trickles in.
