RN74 Loses Two Lead Chefs

After more than two years as the pastry chef for RN74, Kim Mahar (pictured left) is leaving her post to pursue other goals (which are under wraps right now). She's been with RN74 since it opened. Her last day is August 17. She says, "I had the last couple of years to really grow. I feel like I did a lot of great things with the crew and now it's time to jump out of the nest." RN74 pastry teammate Lauren Cooper (pictured center) is stepping up to take Kim's place.

In other related RN74 news, executive chef Seis Kamimura, who was hired a year and a half ago to replace the opening chef, quietly left last week to reportedly take a job at CenturyLink. No word on what his exact role is, but it's believed he may be taking over for former corporate chef Jon Severson, who was recently hired to be the chef at the Ballard Skillet Diner. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, his job has already been posted.
