Mario Batali is a Twitter Tease

Let the rumormongering begin!

Mario Batali has thrown the city's food scene a bone by suggesting on Twitter that he might open a restaurant here. Maybe. Perhaps!!

He's currently in Seattle visiting friends and family. Last week, his homecoming tour of Seattle included stops at Lowell's ("Duuuude. I love Seattle !!!"), Palace Kitchen ("The promised land"), and Ma'Ono ("Best restaurant meal this year !!!").

His family already owns Salumi in Pioneer Square, but Batali is often asked if he'd open his own place in Seattle. Being vague is one way to shut people up.
