Matt Dillon's London Plane Opens Today

The paper came off the windows July 11 and it softly opened last Thursday for the Art Walk, but today...today it is official: The London Plane opens at 11 am. The wine bar is located just across the cobblestone from Matt Dillon's other Pioneer Square project, Bar Sajor.

The London Plane, a collaboration between Dillon and Katherine Anderson (Marigold & Mint), will open in two waves. This is the first one, a small-ish space offering food and wine, plus a retail selection of cookbooks, flowers, wines, housewares and gifts.

A larger space, expected to open later this year, will include a larger kitchen and food program. It will also showcase a larger selection of retail, food, flowers, pantry goods, and breads from baker Michael Sanders.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 11 am to 4 pm (extended hours coming soon). A few photos of the place can be found on the Marigold & Mint Facebook page.
