The guys behind the Nickerson Street Saloon and Prost! are opening a smoked meats shop in a former vegan shoe store (ouch) today — just in time for lunch at 11 am. (Two of the partners will also be transforming nearby Carmelita).
Martino's, a tiny 700 square-foot space, has a giant chalkboard menu that includes things like a smoked chicken salad; the Big Italian sandwich with Dijon rubbed pork butt; and Martino's chili studded with tri-tip, pork loin, chicken and smoked tomato and roasted poblano. Here's the entire menu, something chef Chris Martino tells Seattle Met he's sticking to for the time being with plans to add some breakfast sandwiches on weekends this fall, as well as some dinner specials.
Martino's is open from 11 am to 9 pm, Tues-Sun.
