The back bar at E. Smith Mercantile will open Thursday (a day ahead of schedule). Bar manager Craig Schoen says the new low-key watering hole (that also has a menu of bar snacks, including housemade ricotta, fried chickpeas and chicken liver mousse ) will be open Tuesday through Friday, 4 to 10 pm-ish at least through September and October. He also says they're eventually going to start taking reservations for their 14 bar stools. [EaterWire]
