On Tap: Beers for Books at King's & Fremont Oktoberfest

New, 2 comments

BALLARD— Come to King's Hardware September 24 from 7 to 10 pm and enjoy some delicious beer that will actually benefit a good cause (other than drunken skeeball). The Ballard bar is teaming up with Fremont Brewing Company to donate all brew proceeds for the evening to Room to Read, an organization dedicated to literacy and gender equality in education. Not a drinker? A buck from each lemonade will also be donated to the cause. [EaterWire]

FREMONT— It's that time of year again! Fremont Oktoberfest is happening this Friday through Sunday. There will be a tasting garden (21+) with more than 100 beers (but only a 5oz stein)) and an all-ages Village that includes the always popular Texas Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving and (another) beer garden. If you buy your tickets before September 20, you'll save $10! [EaterWire]
