Look Inside Renee Erickson's Adorable New Bar, Barnacle

Renee Erickson's Barnacle opened Monday, just when she said it would (back in May, she projected "late summer"). The cute-as-a-bug bar, right next door to her other place, Walrus and the Carpenter, serves uncooked, small plates. For her recent Feast PDX appearance, Erickson told The Oregonian, "The food [at Barnacle] is small bar bites, stuff I love to eat—anchovies, herring, sardines—pickled or smoked or preserved in some way."

The place is small, just 800-square feet. It's open daily from 3 to 10 pm.
