Almost two years to the day it was born, The Coterie Room in Belltown has been converted into an event space. Its final day of operating as a restaurant was yesterday.

Brian McCracken and Dana Tough say they flipped the switch on their third concept because it just made sense. Says McCracken, "When we designed the space, we thought about hosting events and parties. So, it's really just a perfect fit." Tough says they already hosted a wedding party a couple of days ago, and have more lined up.

And that's not all.

The guys say they'll be utilizing the downstairs of Coterie to start merchandizing products — some of the same stuff they serve at their restaurants (Spur, Coterie, Tavern Law, Old Sage). They want to start packaging right away, says Tough, "Phase one, event space conversion. Phase two, product development. We're really excited for the future."
