SEATTLE— Time to get into some serious Beast Mode! Canlis is holding a contest for the person who can demonstrate the best "Twelving," which is defined by them as "the act of getting your Twelve on; Showing fanatical love for the Seahawks; Public and outrageous displays of super-fandom." The photo displaying the best act of "Twelving" gets you free dinner (six-courses with wine pairings) in a private room on Valentine's Day. Email photos to twelve@canlis.com or post to Instagram with the hashtag #twelving. Winner will be chosen this Friday. [EaterWire]
BELLTOWN— Boulangerie Nantaise bakery in Belltown is now La Parisienne. It took a little longer to make the switch than originally reported (12 months instead of a few), but the bread and pastries remain essentially unchanged. However, the back-of-the-house has been streamlined and the light-lunch menu simplified. Plans call for the bakery to be open seven days a week. [EaterWire]
WALLINGFORD— The Octopus Bar opened right on schedule. The nautical-themed bar that ate the Wallingford Pizza House in October held its grand opening this past Saturday. It's now open Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 2 am and weekends from noon to 2 am. [EaterWire]
