Cooking Demo with Skillet Exec Chef; Lit Crawl with Seattle Food Authors

DOWNTOWN -- Skillet Executive Chef Nick Novello will be demoing his gluten-free ricotta and masa dumplings (browned butter dumplings with roasted butternut squash puree, graffiti eggplant, fall squash, fennel, and arugula) at Pike Place Martket's Atrium Kitchen tomorrow. SNOQUALMIE -- Now through the end of October, The Attic at Salish Lodge and Spa is offering a grilled cheese sandwich with Beecher's Cheddar and Salish Honey Ale Spread on toasted sourdough, plus a honey ale and tomato soup. CAPITOL HILL -- The third annual Lit Crawl Seattle -- involving more than 65 authors in 21 readings -- takes place October 23 starting at 6 p.m. Food authors Molly Wizenberg (Delancey), Kate Lebo (Pie School), and Tara Austen Weaver (The Butcher and the Vegetarian) will join The Stranger’s Bethany Jean Clement from 6 to 6:45 p.m. at Capitol Cider's Ballast Bar as part of the evening's activities.
