Capitol Cider's New Brunch Menu; Lamb Jam Tour Comes to Seattle

CAPITOL HILL -- Capitol Cider has launched a new weekend brunch menu, available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu is entirely gluten free and includes such wonders as Chilaquiles with Poached Eggs, Grilled Pork and Avocado Plate with Fried Eggs, Banana Bread French Toast, bottomless cider mimosas, and Bloody Mary flights. DOWNTOWN -- Sixteen chefs will battle to create the best lamb-based dish at the Lamb Jam Global Flavors Tour on November 2 at 1 p.m. at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center. Chefs include Mike Whisenhunt of Brimmer & Heeltap, Sam Crannell of LloydMartin; and Jeff Maxfield of SkyCity. Attendees can vote on the People's Choice favorite and dishes will be paired with local beer and wine and attendees can vote on the People's Choice favorite. Dishes will be judged by a range of local food writers, including Eater editor Sara Billups. [EaterWire]
