Shiro Kashiba's Sushi Demo; Cycle Dogs Kickstarter in Home Stretch

DOWNTOWN -- Acclaimed Seattle sushi chef Shiro Kashiba (of Shiro's fame) is breaking his recent retirement for a demonstration at Pike Place Market's Atrium Kitchen. The demo will include a tasting of classic sushi dishes and seasonal matsutake mushroom broth along with Japanese green teas from Perennial Tea Room. Kashiba will also sign his memoir, Wit, Wisdom and Recipes from a Sushi Pioneer. The free event takes place November 2 at 11:30 a.m. [EaterWire]

RAVENNA -- Frank's Oyster House and Champagne Parlor is throwing its second Bubbles & Bivalves event on November 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets include all you can eat raw oysters, of which there will be at least three varieties.
