Le Petit Cochon in Fremont has launched an event called Keepin' It Local, which runs from today through October 23 and picks up again from October 28 through 30th. Chef Derek Ronspies will offer a five-course menu for $50, paired with wine from Yakima's Parejas Cellars for an additional $19. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wallingford Boys and Girls Club.

Courses focus heavily on locally-sourced ingredients and nose-to-tail butchering, in keeping with Ronspies' m.o. at Le Petit Cochon. Dishes include Neah Bay coho salmon, buffalo tongue pastrami, and beignets with blueberry jam. A full menu is available online; reservations are recommended.
