Moondrop Coffee opened shop across the street from Marination Ma Kai on Alki. The coffee and tea bar was launched by David Livingood, a recent UW grad and former tech guy who tells West Seattle Blog he's been in charge of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars here and in Japan.

Beyond coffee, espresso, and tea, Moondrop offers a light breakfast and lunch menu, including salted caramel and chocolate banana waffles, homemade zucchini bread, avocado tuna sandwiches, and various yogurt parfaits. Plus juice and smoothies, all near the waterfront with a very nice view of downtown Seattle.
