Miss those nori fries and green tea milkshakes? Here's some good news to start the weekend: Katsu Burger reopened in Georgetown on Sunday. Katsu quietly shuttered last summer to the dismay of anyone who's polished off one of their massive Mt. Fuji burgers.
After hearing about the closure, our hero Stephanie Kang (she also owns Bellevue's Kimchi Amigos) swept in and purchased Katsu from founder Hajime Sato; the menu and recipes are unchanged. Kang tells The Stranger, who broke the news, "I could not let the legend go down in history." She hopes to open additional outposts, including one on the Eastside.
In other Georgetown burger news, Zippy's is on track to open a new location in the neighborhood by mid-December.
