UNIVERSITY DISTRICT -- JOEY Kitchen is rolling out its fall menu starting Wednesday. New items include a barbeque salmon rice bowl, chicken enchilada, and carrot ginger soup. [EaterWire].

TACOMA -- Pacific Lutheran University MBA student Jason Sipe, who works as a line cook at PLU's Anderson University Center, will compete in the first nationwide ment'or Young Chef Competition. AWARDS WIRE -- Washington breweries took home ten medals -- including six golds -- at the Great American Beer Festival held last week in Denver.
