More Than 1,000 Starbucks Employees Have Gone Back to School

The Starbucks College Achievement Plan is up-and-running, but some question the value of the education.

Starbucks

More than 1,000 Starbucks employees from nearly every state have enrolled in the company's tuition program. The new Starbucks College Achievement Plan reimburses tuition for employees who complete college degrees through a partnership with Arizona State University. The coffee giant partially pays the tuition of freshman and sophomore students and fully reimburses tuition for juniors and seniors. The program has drawn criticism for only partnering with one university; the plan has also raised questions about the value of online-only degree programs.
