Maritime Pacific Releasing Big, Bad Bourbon Barrel-Aged Beer

With barrels from Batch 206 Distillery.

Maritime Pacific [Facebook]

Maritime Pacific Brewery is partnering with Batch 206 Distillery to release a limited edition "Barrel Raider Bosun's Black Porter" beer. The concoction involves aging Maritime's Boson's Black Porter for no fewer than nine months; the beer spends three of those nine in American oak Barrel Raider Bourbon barrels from Batch 206. The beer, which Maritime calls "dark, roasty, beer-forward, no nonsense" with "hints of oak and bourbon in the finish," will be available starting October 15 at Maritime's Jolly Roger Taproom and in select bars and restaurants. The beer is a limited release, so it will pour until it runs out.

Maritime Pacific Brewing Company and the Jolly Roger Taproom. 1111 N.W. Ballard Way. Official Site. (206) 782-6181. Mon-Thurs 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Fri and Sat 11 a.m. to midnight. Sun noon to 9 p.m.
