Food & Sh*t's Sabaw Pop-Up

Short, rainy days bring stew to Inay's—for one night only.

Suzi Pratt

The next Food & Sh*t pop-up -- the monthly dinner series from Geo Quibuyen (AKA Prometheus Brown of Blue Scholars) and his wife Chera Amlag -- is all about stew. The November 17 meal at Inay's features "Sabaw," (soup, or stew in Tagalog.) Instead of Food & Sh*t's usual prix fixe model, this month menu items will be served a la carte. Expect reimagined versions of traditional stews from the Philippines, including Chicken Adobo in White Sauce, Pork Spare Rib Sinigang, and Oxtail Pinapaitan.

Also new this round: Food & Sh*t is accepting take-out orders ahead of time via foodandsh-t.com and coordinating local delivery of a portion of the menu with Lish Food. Catch up on the pop-up's backstory (wait, where did the name come from?) in this Eater feature.
