Pioneer Square is about to get a new Indian concept. Gita and Oliver Bangera are opening Nirmal's in the former Soup Daddy Soups space at 106 Occidental Ave. S. A Mumbai native, chef Nirmal Monteiro has worked in kitchens around the world, including Iraq, Japan, and Germany. Dubbed as "Indian cuisine reimagined," Monteiro will bring influences from his travels to the menu at Nirmal's.
If the schedule keeps, the Bangera's will officially open Nirmal's in February. Track the restaurant's progress via Facebook.
