Chef John Howie (and former Seahawk Craig Terrill) are competing in the national Kick Hunger Challenge put on by the NFL. For the last two years, Howie and Terrill have raised the most money out of all 32 NFL cities – a feat they're hoping to repeat this year.
As part of their fundraising efforts, Howie and Terrill are hosting their 3rd annual fundraising auction and dinner at SPORT Restaurant & Bar on January 7. All proceeds raised at the event (and through the Kick Hunger Challenge) will be donated to Food Lifeline to fight hunger in Western Washington. The event's menu includes Chef Howie's chicken enchiladas and crispy corn and jalapeno fritters. Craig Terrill and his band will provide live music, and there will be a silent auction for items like Seahawks memorabilia. Tickets can be purchased online.
