Lark's Kelly Ronan Unwinds at the Nickerson Street Saloon

John Sundstrom's business partner is a sports fanatic.

Seattle is home to a lot of restaurants, and among them are hidden gems some Seattleites just aren't unearthing. To help guide us to these potential discoveries, we've enlisted some of our city's many food luminaries to share with us their under the radar recommendations for a weekly feature dubbed Dining Confidential.

Kelly Ronan is keeping plenty busy these days. As John Sundstrom's business partner, she's the co-owner of Lark and Bitter/Raw (both open this week) and the soon-to-open Slab Sandwiches + Pie. Ronan oversees the front-of-house and the wine program, carefully selecting labels to pair with Sundstrom's dishes.

Ronan shared her pick for an under-the-radar dining spot:

I live on a houseboat and don’t have a television, and truth be told, I am kind of a sports fanatic. The Nickerson Street Saloon (The Nick) is my neighborhood watering hole where I go to get my fill of sports. There is always an energetic crowded in the bar to banter with – and they have a great burger!

Things have been so busy with getting ready to move Lark and open Bitter/Raw and Slab that recently I’ve been swinging by late night to catch Sports Center and unwind a little before heading home. Oh, and I might have a beer.
