Seastar Offering Farewell Menu in Seattle

Chef John Howie is closing his South Lake Union restaurant on January 3.

John Howie's  Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar in South Lake Union is serving a farewell menu, between now and the closing date of January 3. The five-course tasting menu includes: Shigoku Oysters with Champagne-St. Germain Gelee and Osetra Caviar; Filet and Dungeness Crab Oscar with D.C. Béarnaise; and a dessert course with white chocolate-toffee bark, dark chocolate mousse, cappuccino truffles, and ganache cake. Howie will also serve entree favorites like the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese, Black Truffle Scallops, and a Five Spice Smoked Duck Salad.

Howie recently announced his plans to close the Seattle Seastar location while keeping the Bellevue location open.
