CENTRAL DISTRICT -- Standard Brewing has tapped a keg of its latest creation, a winter warmer called Christmakwanzakkah Ale. According to the Standard blog, "We used a lot of dark grain in this full bodied beer, and some wheat to smooth it out. It’s balanced by a healthy sprinkling of Chinook hops throughout the brewing process. It’s 8%, full bodied, and after you enjoy the rich chocolate/pine combination up front, you may pick up the subtle festive notes provided by the orange peel, star anise and rosemary we threw in the fermenter for complexity." SODO -- Aston Manor is hosting an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party on December 11 to benefit Seattle Children's Hospital. Donations (in line with what's on the hospital's wishlist) are required for entry, and party goers will be given fake casino chips to play for prizes like iPads, PS4s, and gift certificates. A handful of current and former Seahawks players will also be on hand, including Tavaris Jackson, Alvin Bailey, Greg Scruggs, Robert Turbin, Jermaine Kearse, Marshawn Lynch, Kam Chancellor, Lawyer Milloy, and Nate Burleson.
