Since announcing its opening last summer, sleek Italian spot Tinello has cut ties with a former partner and faced a cease and desist from a NYC eatery called Il Tinello.
Despite the setbacks, owner Rudy LaValle is determined to make the casual eatery a cornerstone of the revitalitzation of Pioneer Square.
Earlier this week, LaValle launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $15,000 for the seven-months-old restaurant.
LaValle told Eater Seattle that restaurant will be renamed Radici, the Italian word for "roots"; he expects to have new signage up by the end of the month.
Tinello's page indicates that the money will go towards "re-branding and to finish the build out".
Kickstarter rewards include a four course meal for four and a private dinner cooked in your home by LaValle.
