Cassis owner Jef Fike confirms with Eater that yes, "it's true," he's opening his doors in Alki at 4 p.m. today, adding a "gulp" at the end of the sentence. After closing the dearly departed Cassis in Capitol Hill in 2004, Fike announced plans to open shop in West Seattle more than a year back. He signed a lease for a space on Alki Ave. next to Cactus last October.
The bistro's menu includes French comfort food classics (steak frites, cassoulet) and some lighter options (salade verte with chevre crouton, haricot vert.) Cassis is open for dinner from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., with happy hour running from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Tuesday.
