Mezcaleria Oaxaca Now Open in Capitol Hill [UPDATED]

UPDATE: Bucking the trend, Mezcaleria Oaxaca opened to the public several days ahead of schedule. Via email Tuesday evening: "We decided to open early, so we're technically open for business starting tonight."

Eater has confirmation that Mezcaleria Oaxaca is ready to officially open its doors in Capitol Hill on Friday is now open. Adding to its Queen Anne location (and Ballard relative La Carta de Oaxaca) the oversized Mexican spot sitting on the corner of Pine St. and Summit Ave. was originally scheduled to launch last summer.

The more than 3,000-square-foot space also includes rooftop seating for al fresco dining. The bar is stocked with a whole host of mezcales, some of which you won't be able to find anywhere else in the states. CHS reports that glass steamed up during last night's private preview. If this new location is anything like its perpetually packed siblings, those windows are going to be eternally steamy.

While it's highly probable and probably likely opening day will happen per the restaurant's Friday plan, dates can always change. Check Facebook for updates before heading out the door.
