Marché Shutters Tonight; Matador Gets a Makeover

PIKE PLACE MARKET— Marché permanently closes its doors after dinner service tonight. Daisley Gordon launched the bistro more than two years back in the former Campagne location. The chef announced the unexpected closure via Facebook on February 17. Marché's last seating is at 10 p.m. this evening. [EaterWire]

WEST SEATTLE— Matador's West Seattle location temporarily closes March 9 for a facelift. In addition to an updated interior that includes "reclaimed barn wood accents" the Mexican spot in The Junction is adding more seating inside and around its fire pit. The restaurant reopens March 14. CAPITOL HILL—Epicurious includes two Seattle coffee roasters in its roundup of "killer coffee shops with serious coffee cred" around the country, and both are based in Capitol Hill. Vivace comes in at #21 on the website's list of America's 25 Best Coffee Shops, and Victrola makes the cut at #25. [EaterWire]
