Sick of reading about additions to Pioneer Square's burgeoning food and drink scene? Too bad, because the roster just got longer. In the past few weeks, Eater has reported on the opening of Laika Lounge, Matt Dillon's The London Plane, and the upcoming Taylor Shellfish, Good Bar, and Josh Henderson's Quality Athletics. Add Cone and Steiner to the list.
The second Cone and Steiner mercantile from Henderson's Huxley Wallace Collective, Fuel and High 5 Pie's Dani Cone, and the owners of Retrofit Home is moving into the space next to what will become Quality Athletics in the Stadium Place building on Occidental and King.
The first Cone and Steiner opened its doors last December next to Tallulah's on 19th Ave. in Capitol Hill. Seattle Met's Allecia Vermillion reports that the specialty market's second location will be a little larger than the first and feature a five tap beer and cider growler filling station. The same mix of pantry items, bottles of wine, takeaway prepared food like roasted chicken, and housewares will fill the space, which connects to a planned Retrofit Home store. Expect doors to open this autumn.
