Madison Park Conservatory Closing February 15

Bad news, fans of lovely food. After a little over three years, Madison Park Conservatory will be shuttering its doors on February 15. Camp MPC posted a heartfelt message in their newsletter on Friday, announcing the end.

It is with a heavy heart that we let everyone know MPC will be closing its doors after service on February 15th. Restaurants are a crazy thing and many stars have to align to create a successful and enduring place. Although, we would have the liked our run to be much longer we are very proud of the past three years and have many fond memories to look back on.

The restaurant opened in December 2010, with chef Zoi Antonitsas running the kitchen that Bryan Jarr and Cormac Mahoney built. Shortly after MPC won Eater's 2012 Restaurant of the Year award, she handed the kitchen over to Cormac and headed Westward (with a couple stops in between).

In their message, the proprietors thanked all of their staff, and customers both regular and occasional, as well as their food-providing friends who helped make critics across the country take note.

The everyday relationships made at MPC is what we'll miss the most. Lastly, thank you to all our vendors. We have been proud of our food because it is always started with great ingredients and it's the tireless work of our many vendors that makes our food possible.

The restaurant will be serving their three-course Valentine's menu on their last night of service, just in case you want to weep into your foie gras and tartare.
