Back in October, Eater caught up with Murray Stenson, who was stirring up cocktails at Il Bistro after a little resume gap. At the time, he said that he would probably be pulling shifts at the cavernous Pike Place Market bar until January 1. However, Mixmaster Murray stuck around awhile, and has just confirmed that last week marked his last there. "It was a good four months," he say, "but it's time to start looking for a more compatible bar philosophy, if only short term. Long term, I'm still interested in opening a new place."
While he doesn't know exactly where he's going next, he says he's "narrowed it down to bars not stocking Apple Puckers or Fireball." We'll let you know where that is once he's settled in for a stay. Fingers crossed he grabs a handful of investors and opens his own place instead.
