Phinney Ridge's Hecho is getting ready for opening day. Located in the former Carmelita space, the Mexican spot from Chris Gerke (Nickerson Street Saloon, Martino's), Chris Navarra (Prost!, The Ridge, Martino's ), and Shannon Wilkinson (Little Water Cantina) was initially going to be named Vecino ("neighbor"). The partners switched to Hecho ("made") earlier this year as a reference to the homemade chips, tortillas, drinks, and food on the menu; the space's tables are built by Navarra. Seattle Mag's Julien Perry has word that Hecho will seat 110 in the bar and dining room and include a patio and herb garden. Doors could open during the last week of March, check Facebook for the latest. [Seattle Met] [Photo: Hecho Facebook]
