Lark's John Sundstrom is opening a new restaurant, raw bar, and sandwich spot a stone's throw from his 12th Ave. restaurant. Seattle Met's Allecia Vermillion reports that the James Beard-award winning chef and his business partners will launch a 40-seat dining room serving dinner nightly, lunch during the workweek, and weekend brunch on the ground level and a cocktail and raw bar on the mezzanine with seating for 50 in the Central Agency Building at 1132 Broadway Court. That building behind the Garage is undergoing a total revamp. Since three's a charm, in the space's lobby Sundstrom is also opening a breakfast, lunch, and espresso shop that serves, "slab pie(!), beer, wine, salumi, and good cheese."
Sundstrom is the latest in a string of chefs to announce plans to open multiple restaurants under the same roof on the Hill sometime this year, including Joule/Revel's Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi and Volunteer Park Cafe's Ericka Burke. Right now, Sundstrom's to-be-named projects are scheduled to open this July.
