The Urban Buggy Opens; Vif's Final Pho Friday

CENTRAL DISTRICT— The Urban Buggy opened its doors in a small storefront on 22nd at Jackson. The spot from Dennis Comer, a retired army officer from Texas, serves vegan grab-and-go food, including sandwiches and snacks for people with food allergies. It's located next to Brown Sugar Baking Co., a vegan dessert shop owned by Comer's wife Lillian. [EaterWire]

PIZZA WEEK 2014— Humble Pie, the pizza shop on the border of the Central District and the I.D. where, "diners can get pizzas topped with eggs laid by the restaurant's very own chickens, who live out back," was named one of Eater's 21 hottest pizza places across the US right now. FREMONT— Vif's final "Pho Friday" of the season is scheduled for April 4, from 10 a.m. till the broth runs dry. Owners Shawn Mead and Lauren Feldman are planning to bring back the wine and coffee bar's pho pop-up when the days get short again this fall. [EaterWire]
