Hecho Opens; DiveBarFilmFest Planned

PHINNEY RIDGE— Hecho will officially open its doors tomorrow. The neighborhood Mexican restaurant in the former Carmelita space announced the news on Facebook: "HECHO is open for business to the public tomorrow afternoon! Dine, drink, and be the first to enjoy the restaurant!" [Facebook]

SEATTLE— A "pop culture call-to-arms" following the recent shutterings of venerable dive bars including Streamline Tavern, The Rimrock, and (until it gets a makeover and reopens) The Canterbury, the first annual DiveBarFilmFest (DBFF) is scheduled for April 2-6. Events at The Grand Illusion and Jules Mae's Saloon include films, music, and speakers such as fest co-founder and "Seattle's Best Dive Bars" author Mike Seely. [EaterWire]
