Stone Way's New Bar; Brendan McGill In Alaska

FREMONT— Russell's opened its doors on Stone Way. Joe Russell launched his neighborhood watering hole serving homemade pot pies and wine on tap on Wednesday, reports Nosh Pit. Some shots of the space are on the bar's Facebook page. [Nosh Pit]

SEATTLE— Brendan McGill (Hitchcock, Altstadt) flew home to Alaska to prep for two weekend dinners benefiting Stone Soup Cafe, a soup kitchen in Fairbanks. "As a chef, I could never reach out to my hometown food bank and write a check for thousands of dollars," he says, "but by donating my time and working our networks we can achieve the same result.
