Damn the Weather Coming to Pioneer Square

Keeping score? Pioneer Square is gaining one more watering hole in the coming months. Say hello to Damn The Weather. Bryn Lumsden is launching the neighborhood bar on First Ave. S between Yesler and Washington with partners he met during his tenure at Rob Roy. An original member of Fleet Foxes, Lumsden has also been behind the bar at Vito's and (RIP) Vessel .

Nosh Pit reports that the bar's name comes from a vintage brunch cocktail— and serves as encouragement to go out and imbibe in spite of the rain. Lumsden is shooting to create an inclusive, unfussy bar that serves craft cocktails, dinner, and snacks, like candy corn made in house. Damn the Weather will be open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The space is currently under heavy construction; look for doors to open as early as mid-May.
