Rancho Bravo's New Brick-and-Mortar; Porkchop and Co.'s Soft Opening

WALLINGFORD— Rancho Bravo has taken over the old Winchell's Donuts space. Nosh Pit reports that the taco truck formerly parked outside Winchell's is keeping the same menu, but its carne asada will now be made in a much larger kitchen. [Nosh Pit]

BALLARD— Porkchop and Co., the upcoming breakfast and lunch spot in the former Belle Clementine space, has a soft opening this Sunday. A few menu items will be available for $1, including kimchi hash, breakfast bowls, and smoked beet sandwiches. Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m., or until food runs out. [EaterWire]

IKEA WIRE—Ikea will soon add environmentally-friendly vegetarian Swedish meatballs to its menu. The new, greener balls reduce carbon dioxide emissions in comparison to their "carbon intensive" beef and pork meatball counterparts. Chicken meatballs are also in production. [-EN-]
